Planner's Comments
We really did enjoy planning this event and knowing the area so well through running, hashing and walking the dogs did help a lot. The map, however, did require some updating. Over the past years some areas had become very overgrown and many extra rootstocks and fallen trees meant a lot of parts were not passable let alone runnable. We hope we managed to plan courses around these obstacles to everyone’s liking. There were however lots of nice features and it was sometimes difficult to decide which ones to use. We would have liked to use them all.
It was nice working with Erik Peckett again in revising and updating the map and initially setting out the courses for us. So many thanks to Erik. Thanks also to Jill Green as Controller for checking and advising on the overall planning and to Roger Green as Organiser for printing the maps including some extra big all controls maps for putting out the controls.
The feedback from competitors was good and we hope you all enjoyed running around the courses as we did planning them.

I hope you all appreciated this quality event including good weather,EOD, premarked waterproof maps, electronic punching and Route-gadget on the web.Please enter your route so you and your fellow competitors can simulate your epic run through the woods over and over again. It beats Sudoku!
This event turned out to be an Otter Valley Hash production. Nearly all the people involved were from the Hash and plans were concocted over many a pint in the pub on Thursday nights.
