Comments Having had
the original event cancelled in January because
of snow I was hoping for greatly improved weather.
Not to be, although the low cloud and mist did
make for challenging courses. The low visibility
was sufficient, we could have done without the
rain as well.
My thanks to all those who
helped on the day, especially those helping at
the start and on car parking and who had to stand
out in the inclement weather. The registration
tent was certainly a welcome shelter.
I must express my admiration
for the fortitude of all the competitors for
competing in the conditions and still seeming to
enjoy the experience.
Unfortunately
it was not possible to arrange any alternative
parking so we were faced with walks from the
available car parks to the start and finish sites.
I hope this did not spoil the competitors
enjoyment of the event.
