On Yellow and Orange courses the competitors best three results will be used, and on all other courses the best five; this is to help novices move up to a harder course in a single season. Although you can register for the league at any time during the season, this will not affect other competitors' previous scores. Prizes are awarded at the end of the season for the first competitor on each course and the best junior on Green, Blue and Brown.

Whilst shadowing of juniors is allowed we ask that this should be non-active unless the run is subsequently declared non-competitive. The adult shadowing the junior should also have already completed their run. Pairs are allowed to run on Yellow and Orange courses and shall be awarded the total number of points as if they were individuals. Competitors may change to running individually or with a different partner at any event during the season.
