Membership Levels
within British Orienteering
There are two levels of
Membership within British Orienteering; Local
British Orienteering Membership (LBM) and
National British Orienteering Membership (NBM).
To determine which level of membership you
require you need to consider; how far you're
willing to travel to take part; the type
of competitions or activities you want to
take part in and how frequently you orienteer.

Membership Fees
2012
All
members need to join British Orienteering,
the South West Orienteering Association (SWOA)
and a club, i.e. Devon Orienteering Club.
You have the choice of National or Local
membership the fees being as follows for 2012:

Associate
Membership
Associate
membership allows the club to establish and
maintain links with outside organisations.
For
their membership fees the Associate member
receives the club newsletter and membership
contact details.
Students
(up to M/W18 class) attending a school, college
or university which has a formal association with
the local club may compete for the club in the
Yvette Baker competition and the Peter Parker
junior team relays subject to eligibility rules (http://www.britishorienteering.org.uk/images/uploaded/downloads/events_competitionrule_l.pdf ).
