This was tougher than last week in Devonport Park. Well done to everybody who completed their courses.

Are you doing the basics correctly?

  • Keeping in contact with the map, ie knowing where you are on the map, at all times,
  • “Thumbing the map” (see the link below),
  • Noting significant features on the map as you pass them – path junctions, hedges, buildings, etc,
  • Reading the control description so that you know what feature you are looking for,
  • Checking the control number before you punch.
